Why “Brickplate”?

The most common Lego pieces are bricks, plates, and slopes.  I combined the first two words to form my blog’s name.

I’m an adult fan of Lego; collectively, we are popularly known as AFOLs.  There are many types: those who collect Lego sets and leave the boxes sealed and intact; those who collect a particular theme, like Star Wars, Town or Harry Potter; yet others just love to build with one of the world’s most popular toys.

I’m a little of all of them.  And Brickplate is a repository of the things I build with Lego pieces, and other things related to my hobby.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to drop me a line at brickplate (at) gmail.  And above all else, leg godt.
